Scanning and Digitization Solutions

Film: I regularly scan everything from 35mm to 8x10. Rather than using a traditional scanner, I find I get sharper results, more dynamic range, and a better workflow by using a digital camera (my Sony A7Rii with a Nikon Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/2.8) and copy stand. For higher resolution than the camera's sensor allows, I use stitch together multiple photographs. If you prefer, I'm also happy to make scans for you with a virtual drum scanner, like the Hasselblad X1. But first, let me send you some sample files that compare these two methods! Prices and details for digitization by camera can be found here. For prices for scans via the X1, check here

Reflective Materials: This is just a fancy way to say paper (or other flat stuff that light doesn't go through). Depending on the required resolution, original size and surface texture, I can work out the best solution for you, be it a flat bed scanner or digital camera. Contact me to discuss the best options or get a quote.

3D Objects: I'm happy to create photographs of 3D and sculptural objects (not 3D scans, but 2D photographs for portfolios or website). While in general digital capture is the way to go here, I am also happy to shoot large format film, if you prefer. write me for additional information.
